Our Company

Worland Aviation Pty Ltd

Established by the Worland family in Victoria in 1989, Worland Aviation prides itself on using the latest technology, equipment and materials to achieve a standard even better than a factory finish. The business expanded and moved to Albury in 1993 where it operated successfully until moving again in 2007 to Townsville North Queensland. Two new hangars in the NAACEX complex have been allocated to Worland Aviation with one dedicated to aircraft refinishing and the second committed to expand the aircraft maintenance repair and overhaul side of the business.

In 2009 Queensland Airports Limited assumed 100% ownership of Worland Aviation. Queensland Airports Limited (QAL) was formed in 2003. At this time the company was sole owner of Gold Coast Airport Pty Ltd. In early 2005, QAL expanded to hold all the equity interests in three significant regional airports - Gold Coast Airport Ltd, Townsville Airport Pty Ltd and Mount Isa Airport Pty Ltd.

Queensland Airports Limited is a 100% Australian owned entity, with the principal shareholders being:

  • Hastings Funds Management Limited as responsible entity for the Australia Infrastructure Fund
  • Hastings Funds Management as trustee for Queensland based Infrastructure Fund
  • Perron Investments Pty Ltd
